Mrs. Butler applies for a position at the canteen of the depot and finds herself being interviewed by Mr. Simpson, an old flame who is now a manager there. After securing the job, Jack and Olive decide to leverage their mother's newfound connection with Mr. Simpson to gain the upper hand on Blakey, hoping to turn the situation to their advantage.
