Mum and Olive find themselves in debt to the tune of fifty pounds after purchasing items from a catalogue that Olive accidentally damages. When Stan learns that Blakey won't give him his bonus, he becomes intrigued by Jack's scheme to use a stolen ticket machine to charge fares off the books, allowing them to keep the earnings. After Blakey drops by the house and nearly sits on the machine, Stan feels compelled to confess. However, Blakey surprises him by granting the bonus, only to reveal he knows about the ticket machine and insists Stan donate the money to the bus crews' charity.
