Episode Overview

Following the unsettling discovery of a mother and daughter dead under unusual circumstances, a mysterious young woman named Esther appears at the crime scene. Detectives Charlie Zailer and Simon Waterhouse trace her to a bird sanctuary, but she vanishes, leaving behind a photograph of an unidentified mother and child. The detectives are left questioning their identity and their link to the deceased family. Meanwhile, the body of another woman surfaces in the river, prompting Sally to recognize the imminent peril she faces.
