A quartet of musicians discovers their music is being illegally distributed. While Ed and Fran delve into the matter, tragedy strikes as one of the band members is killed right before their eyes. As they dig deeper, their inquiry uncovers the personal histories of everyone connected to the recording studios where the remaining three musicians are employed.
