Following the horrific murder of a woman jogging in the park, detectives Rixton and Atwater rush to the scene only to spot two suspects escaping. The men take refuge in a church, where the priest and congregation stand outside to prevent the police from pursuing them. As Rixton delves deeper into the investigation, he finds himself entangled in a deception with Voight.
