Episode Overview

A fierce storm raged over Rome. In the midst of it, Rodrigo Borgia, known as Pope Alexander VI, was with his mistress, Giulia Farnese, when suddenly the ceiling of the papal chamber gave way, burying them in rubble. When Rodrigo emerged from the wreckage, he was in a state of shock. Miraculously alive, he began to speak in various tongues, convinced that the Holy Spirit had descended upon him, much like the apostles of old.
