Episode Overview

A peculiar advertisement in the local paper calls for men with red hair to join a league that offers generous compensation. Jabez Wilson, a pawnbroker, answers the call and is hired to spend four hours daily transcribing an encyclopedia by hand. However, the league abruptly disbands, prompting Wilson to seek the help of Sherlock Holmes to uncover the truth. Holmes suspects foul play and soon realizes that the mastermind behind this strange scheme is none other than his formidable adversary, Professor Moriarty.
