Sir Charles Baskerville is discovered dead on Dartmoor, his expression frozen in fear and large canine prints surrounding him. Upon his arrival in England, Sir Henry Baskerville, the American heir to the Baskerville estate, seeks Holmes's expertise to investigate the chilling legend of the Hound of the Baskervilles—a spectral beast believed to be responsible for deaths. From the beginning, Holmes suspects foul play by a human and devises an intricate scheme to uncover the true perpetrator behind the sinister events.
