Beginning in 1974, when the obscure band ABBA triumphed at the Eurovision Song Contest with their hit "Waterloo," Sweden emerged as a powerhouse in the pop music industry. The sounds of Roxette, Ace of Base, and Robyn have filled cassette tapes and adorned bedroom walls, while the iconic '90s tracks of Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, and *NSYNC owe much to the innovative contributions of Swedish producers Denniz Pop and Max Martin.
