A tribute to all things chocolate unfolds as Johnny Iuzzini, with his expertise and passion, sets high expectations for both Mary and himself. For their inaugural Signature Bake, the bakers must whip up a dozen molten lava cakes, where just a few minutes in the oven can either create a luscious, flowing center or leave them dry and disappointing. The Technical Challenge introduces a daunting task, as Johnny challenges the bakers to craft an impeccable selection of rich and indulgent truffles. Lastly, the Showstopper Challenge calls for a naked layered mousse cake, featuring silky layers of mousse on a baked base, adorned with intricate chocolate embellishments. As the competition heats up, not every dessert will meet the mark, leading to the elimination of one contestant, while only three bakers will advance to the semifinals, where every detail counts.
