Seventeen-year-old Brianna Maitland was tired of the monotony of life on her parents’ isolated farm, so in the fall of 2004, she switched to a new high school to be closer to her friends. However, she soon dropped out and began couchsurfing with various friends and boyfriends. Without a stable place to stay, it took her family four days to notice she was missing. After extensive searches and a thorough investigation, the Maitlands are left in turmoil, uncertain about their daughter’s fate. While police suspect foul play, some believe that Brianna may have been abducted.
