The thief was caught thanks to a cigarette butt, but the location of the stolen cash remains a mystery, prompting a reward for anyone who can locate it. Kyousuke stumbles across a coded message that appears to point to where the money is hidden. Choosing to leave Takuboku behind due to their strained relationship, Kyousuke teams up with young Hirai to decode the note and uncover the truth.
