Lowe devises a plan to abduct Blackbeard and hand him over to the English government, convinced that this is the sole method to protect the residents of Santa Compana from William Jagger's relentless fury. In a parallel storyline, Jagger goes to an asylum, convinced that a particular inmate holds the secret to ultimately vanquishing Blackbeard.
