Catcher Zack Bowers struggles to throw the ball back to the mound, much less reach second base. His troubles stem from his growing suspicion that his wife is cheating on him. In a fit of frustration, he insists that Arliss hire a private detective to find out the truth. Meanwhile, Kirby is tasked with looking after Bruce Smith's 'cat' while he’s away.
