When Chris makes his return, Meg discovers he has been drafted for military service and plans to head to Berkeley to evade it. She faces a tough choice between pursuing a relationship with Chris or staying loyal to her family, especially as Jack threatens to cut ties with her if she chooses love. Meanwhile, Roxanne starts cutting hair at the Vinyl Crocodile, much to Luke's annoyance. JJ finds himself overwhelmed after volunteering for a work project. Mr. Pryor gives Nathan a second chance by allowing him to resume deliveries, while Helen decides to support a grieving mother picking up her son's coffin.
