Episode Overview

Benedict Allen, a bright-eyed 22-year-old Brit, sets off on a daring six-month adventure that takes him from the Orinoco River to the Amazon, traversing 600 miles of unexplored jungle. During the final stretch of his trek, he encounters two gold miners who steal his guides and threaten his life. With danger looming, Benedict must navigate the treacherous Amazon with only his loyal dog, Cashoe, by his side. His lack of experience leads to a near-fatal canoe capsize, leaving him without supplies. As he embarks on a challenging 100-mile trek through the rainforest, he succumbs to malaria and a severe case of 'jungle madness.'
