Episode Overview

When a woman bursts into laughter after her boyfriend Paul proposes, she loses her balance and tumbles down the stairs following his startled shake. Matt Matthews, posing as a friend, snaps photos of Paul as he carries her lifeless body outside. He persuades Paul that the police won’t believe his story and pressures him to hide the body in a trunk and dispose of it in the lake. Matthews then begins to extort Paul. Meanwhile, Paul's son Danny discovers the truth and tries to assist his father, but ends up in the clutches of the antagonists. Tony Blake's investigation takes him to a lavish Gothic inn, where he must locate his informant and outsmart the blackmailers.
