S04E03 Playing the Roxy
Episode Overview
Laverne emerges from her bedroom clad only in her slip, engrossed in a magazine about a stripper named Roxy. Shirley, having already read the article, scolds her for going outside in such attire as Laverne heads out to get the mail. Lenny and Squiggy show up sporting their new lodge hats from The Order Of The Bass and inform Laverne that Shirley has taken a tumble down the stairs and now believes she is Roxy. This leads to a drastic shift in Shirley’s demeanor as she starts practicing provocative dance moves. Carmine, hoping to charm "Roxy," approaches her, but Laverne quickly intervenes. Later, when Shirley/Roxy is alone, Lenny and Squiggy arrive and urge her to strip, to which she agrees—if it's at a men’s club for pay, prompting them to arrange for her to perform at their lodge's big event. Laverne comes home late to find the chaos unfolded.
