Episode Overview

Sindo, a civilian contractor in Iraq, leaves his wife Michelle to manage their three lively kids—Sindo, 9, Ashley, 7, and Mikey, 6—alone for five months at a stretch. Michelle struggles to cope, caught in a whirlwind of emotions while anxiously awaiting his emails to confirm his safety. Her frequent outbursts and tears lead to the kids mirroring her distress, resulting in chaos at home. Ashley's public meltdowns make Michelle hesitant to take them out, adding to her stress. Although Sindo calls as often as he can, his warnings lack weight when he’s so far away, leaving her feeling overwhelmed.
