Episode Overview
Introducing the Schumachers, a quintessential American family of the 21st century. Teri and Brian work tirelessly to provide their children with everything they desire—except for boundaries, responsibilities, and aspirations. As a result, their kids, instead of expressing gratitude, are overflowing with attitude. Jessica, the 14-year-old, ridicules her parents for not providing more luxurious items and for their "dump" of a house, which is actually quite spacious. Meanwhile, 11-year-old Alexi spends her time on social media, pretending to be older and engaging with strangers. And 7-year-old Dylan, plagued by boredom, resorts to cursing and violent antics. Teri and Brian are baffled by their children's behavior, feeling more like servants than parents.
