Episode Overview
Kevin is eager to invite Susan Fisher to the dance, but she's taken by Donald Wallach. After hearing whispers of their breakup, he prepares to approach her, only for Donald to step in. Linda Sloan, his lab partner, proposes they attend as friends, and they agree. Initially, they enjoy themselves, but things take a turn when Linda dances with Steve Padway while Kevin shares a moment with Susan over punch. The atmosphere shifts when Susan departs, and Linda asks about the half-full cup of punch left behind. Kevin's dismissive response hurts Linda deeply, prompting her to leave. Just as Kevin intends to ask Susan for another dance, he finds her with Donald, leading him to exit, unaware that Winnie has just arrived, likely searching for him.
