Kevin's attempts to maintain his cool image are thrown into chaos when his mother, Norma, starts working at his school. In a bid to assert his independence, he swipes a hall pass for Tony Barbella, only to be caught red-handed by Norma. During a fire drill, when she calls out to him and the other students burst into laughter, Kevin realizes he needs to convince her to stop paying attention to him at school.
