Following Taeko's assault, Tsukiko and Kozuka provide alibis that clear them of suspicion. This leads Maniwa to entertain the idea that there might be another Lil' Slugger on the loose. Determined to prevent further attacks, he begins investigating the links between the victims to identify who could be targeted next.
