Episode Overview

During the inauguration of a new Taelon portal station, a sudden surge of energy emanates from Dr. Jeffrey Whitfield, the Director of Portal Research, causing him to collapse and die. Sa'al, the Taelon engineer overseeing the portal, speaks to the media about the portal's safety. However, a heated exchange with Doors leads to Sa'al exploding in a burst of light. Meanwhile, Liam and Sandoval review footage of the incidents and focus on Arnold Creighton, a professor known for his strong opposition to the Taelons. Augur discovers that Creighton has created a mini teleportation device capable of lethal internal damage.
