Martin is appalled by the terrible quality of the books Gibby is making him edit and frustrated by Gibby's indifference. At the same time, Eddie loses his job on the talk show, and his wife Jeanette walks out on him all in one day. This turns into a moment of reflection for Eddie, and Martin seizes the opportunity to motivate him to make a fresh start. He suggests they team up to launch a high-end magazine together.
