They are directed to a nearby camp that employs prison labor. The women there are connected to the inmates as wives and partners. Todd McCauley is nearing the end of his sentence, but Warden Clement refuses to let him go, insisting he knows the location of the stolen money. In response, Todd orchestrates a daring escape. The convicts set their sights on acquiring horses to join the cattle drive.
