Favor plans to bulk up the herd for a week while another group trails behind, expected to arrive in three to five days. Ben Wade leads the drovers, who are all seasoned hands. Meanwhile, Charlie Holt, representing the owners, becomes interested in Helen Wade, and she reciprocates his feelings. Complicating matters, two of Wade's cattle are infected with Texas Tick.
