To unravel the enigma of immortality, Habaki enlists the help of Doctor Burando Ayame, who resorts to using a scalpel on Manji for the sake of medical progress. As Manji endures this ordeal, Rin finds herself in an unusual living situation with Doua and Isaku, who have been on the hunt for a place to call home while anxiously awaiting Manji's return.
