This episode showcases the inaugural commercial for the Tex and Edna Boil Organ Emporium. In the Mailbag segment, Bob Clark resembles Bill Needle, who would later assume the Mailbag duties in the third season. For additional viewing, "Mind Games" features a clever spoof of the classic 1966 movie "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf," starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. The film is also parodied again in "Fast Talking Playhouse," but in a distinctly different style.
