When the Heck family misses their electric bill deadline, the power gets cut off, prompting Frankie and Mike to trim their spending by dropping cable TV. The kids seek new ways to entertain themselves, but Frankie and Mike struggle to find alternatives. Meanwhile, Brick and his socially awkward friends are forced to venture outside for recess after the school library closes, presenting them with a new set of challenges.
