Hidden Britain by Drone (2016)
S01E02 Episode 2
Episode Overview
In this episode hosted by Sir Tony Robinson, drones explore a village that has vanished from maps, an empty supermarket, and a platform in the ocean that claims independence. The journey begins in Scotland, near the Forth Bridge, where the largest aircraft carriers ever built for the Royal Navy are being constructed. With each carrier weighing 65,000 tonnes and a flight deck spanning 4.2 acres, keeping them hidden is quite the challenge! Next, the drones travel to Nottinghamshire, where they discover an unmarked building resembling a supermarket, but devoid of checkouts and customers, as only professionals work overnight to fulfill online orders. The flight continues to the Kent coast, revealing a World War II shipwreck near Sheerness, ominously filled with high explosives.
