Dhritarashtra berates Gandhari, demanding that she take off her blindfold, but she stands her ground and refuses. In a fit of anger, he disavows her as his wife. Subsequently, Bhishma confides in Satyavati, explaining that Dhritarashtra seeks the throne to conceal his shortcomings. However, Satyavati remains resolute in her stance. Vidura interjects, voicing his concerns about the situation.
