Life Goes On (1989)

Episode Overview

At 18, Corky is eager to break free from his parents' influence, even if it just means taking the bus to school. Unfortunately, he finds himself falling in with a rough crowd. The climax of the episode arrives when the "bad boy" Corky decides to audition for the community talent show, performing a hip-hop dance to "Fight the Power" from Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing." However, when his new friends betray him, Corky realizes he needs to change course and ultimately performs a tap dance routine with Becca, returning to their usual act for the show.
