Episode Overview
In this episode featuring the incredible Patti LuPone, a Tony Award winner for "Evita," the focus is on Corky, who feels like everything is going wrong for him. He faces a mishap during driver's ed and is struggling in his remedial math class, risking his place in the mainstream program if he fails a crucial test. Corky is also troubled by the thought that his arrival may have derailed his mother's budding career in show business. Meanwhile, Libby is presented with an opportunity to shine again at the community college's "Autumn Follies," but she’s reluctant to pursue it. Corky, on the other hand, dreads the idea of math tutoring with much younger kids. They strike a bargain: Corky will accept the tutoring if Libby agrees to audition for the show.
