Episode Overview
With her grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary approaching, Becca excitedly proposes to Jesse, who happily accepts. However, they soon have second thoughts. Complicating matters, a man at the hospice is nearing death from AIDS and refuses to let his wife see him suffering. Jesse mirrors this behavior, telling Becca she doesn’t truly understand what she's signing up for and that she should lead a normal life. After the man passes away, Jesse speaks to his wife, who helps him realize that Becca might be stronger than he thinks. Becca, too, grapples with her fears, but Libby encourages her by sharing her experience with raising Corky. They reconcile, but decide to postpone their wedding plans. Meanwhile, Kenny is eager for Paige to marry him, but her uncertainty grows, especially after he makes an insensitive comment about Corky. Michael steps in to provide some emotional support.
