The Gallagher kids are taken away by the Department of Family Services, leaving Fiona frantic to reclaim them. With Monica missing, she has no choice but to track down Frank and persuade him to show up in court as a "Father of the Year." Everything seems to be going smoothly until Fiona realizes that Frank isn't the answer; he's actually part of the problem. Meanwhile, Kev and Veronica enlist V's mother to be their surrogate, while Terry stumbles upon an awkward moment between Mickey and Ian.
