Blackwell cautions Cassie and Adam that while their love might be fated, it also carries a dark curse. He advises them to seek out her grandmother, Jane, to see if there's a way to lift it. When they meet Jane, she warns Cassie that awakening the curse could result in someone from the Circle losing their life. At the same time, Eva begins to follow Faye closely, and Charles plots his next strike against Blackwell.
