Jean eagerly prepares for her grandchildren's arrival, despite Lionel reminding her that neither Judy nor Sandy are expecting yet. Unbeknownst to them, Judy and Alistair have been trying to conceive unsuccessfully, leading Judy to suspect Alistair might be the issue, as he tries too hard to assert his masculinity. Meanwhile, Sandy is distressed over Harry’s pursuit of a promotion that could endanger him. Amidst these family tensions, Lionel receives an unexpected guest from Africa, adding to the holiday chaos.
