Stardate 43349.2. Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge, rendered blind, finds himself stranded on a treacherous planet alongside a wounded and paranoid Romulan. Meanwhile, the Enterprise is held at bay in orbit by a Romulan Warbird, which blocks any attempts for a rescue operation. As the two unlikely companions navigate their perilous situation, they must confront their mutual distrust and work together to survive against the odds.
