Gordon decides to spend the day impersonating an elderly man named Mr. Derek Didcot. However, Laura sees through his disguise right away. He shares his thoughts about aging, retirement, and the vivid dream he had the previous night. Colin is shocked to realize that Mr. Didcot is actually Gordon in disguise. Later, Gordon has an interview with Linda, but the real excitement begins when Helen goes into labor. As he rushes to the hospital, he finds himself caught in traffic.
