Episode Overview

In 1846 California, Sydney and Nigel stumble upon an antique photograph of the Pioneer's Bear Flag, rumored to have been lost during the tumultuous fight for the state. Their investigation leads them to Larivee, where they encounter Jake Whitney, an elderly miner who insists he knows the flag's whereabouts. However, when they discover Jake dead in a deserted gold mine, they surmise he was killed while seeking the banner. Racing against time, Sydney and Nigel must locate the flag before they share the same grim fate as Jake.
