Episode Overview
In 1355 A.D., Sydney and Nigel receive an urgent summons to an Antarctic research facility. Accompanied by a mechanic and an accountant—who is secretly an NIA agent—they arrive to find the research team’s bodies strewn about. The researchers had uncovered a frozen Anasazi Indian, a civilization that mysteriously vanished. Among the chaos, they encounter one survivor, Eleanor, who reveals that the mummy carries a virus responsible for violent outbreaks that decimated the Anasazi, yet she possesses natural immunity. While Nigel and Eleanor attempt to contain the virus using cold, they stumble upon another survivor, Rollin Harley. He melted the Anasazi to exploit the virus and is willing to kill to protect his interests. After murdering the two men, he traps Sydney on the surface, but she cleverly finds her way back inside. Ultimately, Syd and Nigel confront and defeat Harley.
