Xin comes across Ying Zheng, the young King of Qin, who is on the run from his half-brother's rebellion. Just then, Piao's murderer appears, intent on assassinating Ying Zheng. Having realized that Piao perished while posing as Zheng's double, Xin faces a critical choice between aiding the king or seeking vengeance for his fallen friend.
