Heather, a new transfer student, excels at cheerleading and is elected as the co-captain of the squad. Jessica, feeling envious and upset about Heather's promotion, decides to leave the squad and attempts to create her own team. However, when she finds herself lacking a member, she resorts to blackmailing Liz, threatening to expose Elizabeth's secret relationship with Ken while Todd was in Vermont, to force her into joining.
