Jessica is taken aback when she scores one of the top results in the college compatibility test. She and Mortimer are selected to represent their school in the academic bowl, and despite discovering that her test score was inaccurate, Jessica chooses to go ahead and compete. Meanwhile, Winston finds himself in trouble when he ticks off two of Todd's acquaintances, who then demand two hundred dollars from him—money he doesn’t have. Elizabeth steps in to lend him the cash, but Jessica spends it on a new dress without asking. To prepare Winston for any potential confrontation, Cheryl offers to teach him boxing.
