Episode Overview

Kenny and Max investigate a reported rape and discover a confrontation between a man and a woman. Under Kenny's intense questioning, the man claims that the woman assaulted him instead. After a probable cause hearing, Judge Bone suggests the district attorney and Wambaugh negotiate a plea deal. The woman ultimately pleads guilty to misdemeanor assault and receives a one-year suspended sentence. Meanwhile, Rachel Harris is inaugurated as the new mayor, leading to tensions with Jimmy over her agenda for his office. Additionally, Max's ex-therapist coerces her into retracting charges, and they begin a sexual relationship.
