S02E05 Maxwell Smart, Alias Jimmy Ballantine
Episode Overview
Max is tasked with taking on the identity of a safecracker named Jimmy Ballantine, disguising himself with bandages to avoid detection by KAOS. Meanwhile, 99 pretends to be a manicurist, and Agent 13 hides inside a towel steamer. Control suspects that a barber shop is a cover for KAOS activities. The KAOS operatives need Max to access a federal reserve bank’s vault, but 99 isn’t sure which one, prompting the Chief to leave all vaults unlocked. Just as the KAOS agents attempt to steal the money and eliminate Max, he turns the tables on them. In the chaos, 99 and the Chief arrive, but Max accidentally traps the Chief inside the vault.
