Gladiators (1992)

Overview

Gladiators captivated British audiences from 1992 to 2000, airing on ITV and inspired by the American show, American Gladiators. Its popularity led to adaptations in Australia and Sweden. After a brief revival in 2008, the show was canceled again the following year. Initially hosted by John Fashanu and Ulrika Jonsson, Fashanu was replaced by Jeremy Guscott in 1997, only to return for the final season in 1999. Refereed by John Anderson, the series featured cheerleading squad G-Force and was filmed primarily at Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena. A kids' version, Gladiators: Train 2 Win, also aired from 1995 to 1998.
