Episode Overview

Theodore Roosevelt faces a formidable threat in the form of the Marquis de Morés, who is determined to take over Roosevelt’s newly established Elkhorn Ranch through dubious means. To protect his land, Roosevelt makes his way to the Marquis's residence, where he encounters the alluring yet shrewd Medora, the Marquis's wife. Meanwhile, at Elkhorn, Roosevelt’s new ranch hands, former lumberjacks Bill Sewall and Wilmot Dow, are trying to get the hang of riding when their bronc-busting training is abruptly interrupted by the arrival of the Marquis's thugs. For one tense night, the fate of Elkhorn hangs in the balance.
