In 2017, ex-members of LLDM establish an online community on Reddit where they recount their experiences of abuse inflicted by the church's revered “Apostles.” Having been groomed from a young age and psychologically trapped in a cult-like environment through indoctrination, family expectations, and rigid religious beliefs, they were conditioned to give up their autonomy in exchange for the promise of eternal salvation. As this community of survivors grows and raises awareness, the church continues to gain visibility and expand its reach across the globe.
